The View ladies defend Taylor Swift's 'fat' scale in 'Anti-Hero' music video: 'Leave her ass alone' [EW]
My issue with the Littlefeather apology is that it smeared someone who is not here to defend himself - and was, by all honest accounts, an apology for something that simply never happened. No witnesses can corroborate ANYTHING she said: John Wayne never lunged for her, was apparently not even backstage. He had only one lung by then, and was a sick old man. He had no history of personal violence, and was known to be a gentlemen even to those he disliked. But what's all that against the opportunity for ultimate Hollywood insiders (the Academy) to preeningly virtue signal? That it turned out her whole persona was a fraud only makes the hypocrisy that much richer.
